2017 Crystal Lake Night Owl Bike Ride Volunteer Info

Want to participant but don't want to ride, or can't afford it? In order to make the event run as smoothly, and as safe as possible, it does require volunteers! Become a ride marshal - you get to ride for free, stop at your assigned intersection, and assist riders through the intersection. Ride Marshals will be placed throughout the route at key intersections to assist in getting through intersections. Note: volunteers and ride marshals are NOT to direct traffic but rather help call out red lights and assist riders through intersections. Other volunteer positions with registration and the rest stop are needed.

The primary need for volunteers and ride marshals is to staff the various signaled intersections and assist riders with traffic flow. These intersections include the following:
